After a semi-professional football career I turned to cycling when I was 26 years old and I feel I have been very fortunate to find a sport that I am passionate about. I competed for four years in XC mountain biking when I made the shift to road racing. As I developed as a road cyclist my teammates suggested I look into track cycling as I was quickly transforming into a strong sprinter. In 2002 I attended my first big track race in Bromont, Quebec. It was a life changing experience as I saw not only how much work I needed to do in order to excel but I also discovered how absolutely driven and committed I was in order to do so.

Since then I have won 12 Provincial championships in Ontario and British Columbia and 6 National championship medals, including one National title for the Keirin event. I am excited to be in an excellent position to further build on those successes and accomplishments in 2007 and beyond.
